This is an S-Video 1-to-4 Distribution Amplifier.
Note: If you attempt to split an S-Video signal with a passive splitter one or all monitors may get darker and the colors will also degrade.
Our active S-video distribution amplifiers will solve the signal loss that occurs with passive splitters.
This 1-to-4 S-Video Distribution Amplifier provides one input and four outputs set to unity gain. In addition, the 12VAC wall transformer provides isolated power to control ground loops.
INPUT: The input consist of one 4-pin mini-DIN connector. A video signal with excessive DC component (or offset) such as those generated by many computer video boards will cause the unit to malfunction. The 1 Volt-peak-to-peak signal needs to be within the -1V to +1V. Ideally, the video signal's blanking level should be clamped at 0 volts, although an AC coupled signal is also acceptable.
OUTPUTS: The unit provides four S-video outputs consisting of four 4-pin mini-DIN connectors. Each output is set to unity gain. Unused outputs do not need to be terminted for proper operation of the S-video distribution amplifier.
